Alex Podlesny, Database Developer and SQL Server DBA Job Continent Inc.

People forget that it is not just a shiny website or a flashy iPhone app that runs their core business. The business is up and running because of that (often) old and forgotten SQL Server database! In this session we will discuss Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery from the database point of view as a backbone of application development.

About Alex:
Alex Podlesny is a Database Developer and SQL Server DBA with Job Continent Inc. He received his Computer Science Master's degress from the Ukraine State University of Radio Electronics. Alex has worked in many different roles as an developer, manager, and architect in a number of leading companies, including Intel, NIH, BNA, FINRA, LPL Financials, and Thompson Reuters. Alex has vast technology background in software development, database and data warehousing development, design, performance tuning, recovery planning. He is a passionate supporter of agile development practices, Scrum, Test Driven Development including Database Test Driven Design. In his free time he leads development of the DBTestDriven unit testing framework for database test-driven development (DBTD)

Regular Meeting Details

PASSDC meets the second Thursday of each month at the Motley Fool in Alexandria, Virginia.

Meetings begin at 6:30pm, and typically last around two hours.

Note: The building is a secured building and the doors will most likely be locked when you arrive.
We will have someone at the front door to let you in. If you arrive early you will need to wait until 6:30 for us to let you into the building. a phone number you can text for entry between 6:30 pm and 7:30 will be posted on the door.
